    Story behind The binding coil of bahamut? (spoilers maybe?)

    I'm not talking about cutscenes in the game here, I'm asking is there a story behind what the coil actually is? Is it just a house for him? Or was it created by someone? I can't really find any info on it aside from theories regarding bahamut himself.

    And from how 1.0 ended I would believe that it was Aether that somehow got crystalized that his encasing him.
