Which brings up the point of the toxic community. Party finder groups requiring ilvls that's overkill for whichever extreme fight or dungeon they're doing because they're so "pro" they want to be carried by higher gear than what's necessary, "clear checks" because the people that have done the content have no patience for other people to learn the content so they le gasp actually have more people they can do the content with. There's probably a few others I missed. If you think it's bad now imagine if parsers were legal.

You obviously blame WoW. An official self-parser adds nothing toxic to the community.
If it were a self parser that's one thing. But that's not really what most of the people in this thread are begging for.

Also yes I do blame WoW. WoW has been the biggest plague of the mmo industry ever since its first expansion. Causing countless failed P2P mmos that tried to copy it too much without realizing the real reason for its success. The same way CoD has been a plague on non-mmos.

Since you cannot tell how skilled a player is, the only thing you can use is ilvl. And if they meet the ilvl but still can't cut it, you remove them. Also, you're right, some of them have no patience because they've already taught a large number of people, whether they actually learned or not, that they just want the content done. Why should they be required to constantly teach people, when a fair amount of them don't put in the effort to learn and improve? Key here is constantly. That's what they would end up having to do.

This is NOT "toxic"(Which isn't the right term to use anyway)

I'm pretty sure majority of the people that used parsers prior to the announcement, still use them regardless of illegality. A parser is still the best overall method to evaluate yours/others performance. If you are concerned and troubled about people removing you from groups due to low numbers, then you shouldn't be running with these people in the first place.

If you don't like or want to run with people you discern to be elitist, then why does their availability to a parser make a difference when you're ideally wanting to avoid them?

For point A, your right people are still using parsers. But the only way you can get caught using one is if you tell someone they suck.
For point B, there's duty finder that matches you with random people and not "like-minded individuals". Party finder is for like-minded people when people state "Kill party, experienced only. Must have already beat before".

Just wait for addons though, then parsers will be included. They were already overdue so they shouldn't be long.
