    Enmity bars are

    a. relative - you can't see your overall raid dps, you can only "see" each member's. Also burst vs sustained looks different.
    b. difficult to judge - subject to human error unlike raw numbers
    c. limited in what information they convey - you can't pick up on errors in rotation and whatnot
    d. restricted to the fight - you cannot assess the information afterwards and
    e. detrimental to performance as attention is required during a battle to watch them.

Enmity bars are far inferior to parsers.

And third-party tools are a crutch for lazy players who want to easy mode the entire game. Parsers are not used to self-improvement. They're used to alienate others. And they do not take into account dodging, killing adds, DoTs, pets, etc. People with area effect skills can also pad their numbers by spamming. They promote laziness in players who would rather stand in one place and spam their rotations rather than dodging attacks (which would lower their DPS scores). They undermine the entire basis of the way this game is played.

    Yes they are.

    Only incompatible people.

    Yes they do.

To elaborate briefly; you can sort by number of deaths and by damage taken. You can see damage on individual adds and separate by participant. DoTs and pets are included.

People with area effect skills can also pad their numbers by spamming.
And you can account for this.

Yeah. The healers will love those players anyway. Gotta pad their heals parses.

I'm sure you're incredibly "skilled," what with needing third party programs to help you play a game that tells you exactly where to go and what to do, but there's really no need for most players to bother with parsers or anything else.

Maybe you should get a job above 27 and hit some fights with real DPS checks before you understate how useful they are. "There's really no need for most players to bother with parsers" doesn't explain why so many DPS utterly fail at both damage and survival.

As I said before, T4 Dreadnaughts before echo required 200-220 from all DPS to clear successfully. If I go in there as DRG, I won't be able to pull that DPS because of my inexperience with the job. If I'm pulling 160 DPS and the Dread keeps eating the Phase 3 spiders, I'm the problem and a parser will tell me that I'm the problem for not being at the required threshhold.

I notice you don't yet have a level 50. Keep up with that mentality and entry level dungeons at 50 will not be kind to you, Especially Binding Coil (The first 5 turns), which is still difficult to do, even with the echo buff, if people aren't pulling their own weight

Example: So me using a parser on training dummies as a MNK to improve my rotation, then use it again while I test it out in an actual dungeon is making me a lazy player?
If a DPS player is good, their downtime on a boss will be very minimal. I can dodge repelling shots, piecing lasers, ballasts and all that as MNK in T2 and still keep up DPS, if not surpass, players who play ranged classes.

Sorry, this is wrong. It's just a tool nothing more, it always has been and always will be, the players causing the abuse. Good players know that some people will be lower or higher based on what they need to do in the fight. It's not a crutch when it just shows you already available information in an easier to read format.

    So, again, you are wrong.
