Is a Parser ever comming?

Seems ideal. This is one of the most common third party software that people use. I have people talk about actively useing them all the time <though I use PS4 and do not>. So have I missed any discussion about this being implemented, or is the player base the only ones talking about this?

I remember DCUO used to keep a running tally of Damage In, Damage Out, Healing In, Healing Out, Power In, Power Out... it was pretty useful and kinda fun to challenge other DPS and such.

Think it would be a terrible idea. You see enough people being kicked from groups due to a third party parser as it is, would be ten times worse if every player in the game had access to one.

And some of us think it would be a great idea. Those people would kick and abuse others without using parsers.

As for the thread, yes we ARE supposed to get addons at some point, but all hints have been at UI customization only. We likely won't get an API that allows for proper parsing in game, especially while dots aren't listed in the combat log itself.

Or ten times better, depending on your outlook. Especially if it were out in the open and endorsed.

Dont worry. All you have to do is report them when they say its due to that.

I'm all for it for groups to help improve each other, but sadly, its mostly used as a tool to grief other players.

I see people say this all the time, yet my experience in other games, and this one too, that behavior has been a rarity for me.

I saw it a lot in WoW, even in raid groups. I was on the end of that spectrum once too, as a new hunter/player. Got called a Huntard by everyone and then booted from the party..Didn't feel very good. lol. Not saying its all like that, just saying most of my experiences has been like that.

Don't need a parser to see players that can't dodge, die, or just cast Fire III all day. < They get grief more from stuff like this that I see.

"Grief" means give people direct feedback that they aren't performing well enough for the content they're attempting.
