I never talk about no answer....but you can easily find character that auto log off every time a chat tell was received..ot that every time give the same automatic answer...^^if someone toss me a pointless tell while i work on a hard craft... i just ignore the tell lol isnt like u have alot time to chat while craftting =_=!
on easy grind craft with 250sp reward... for normal i look a movie while craftting and miss the most chat actions ;o
so toss a tell to me and say im botting cause i dont react to a pointless tell~ <all right>
What is this????
They banned a lot of the shard making bots in limsa a month or 2 back. Those guys had been there ever since they added the fish to shard recipies into the game so maybe it takes a while. At this point I dont care. If one out of ten of my friends are secretly botting id rather SE not ban bots because with the population so low I dont really wanna lose any MORE of my friends.I know that SE do nothing about this...I know that there are person that say in this forum (I'm Botting and SE do nothing)
But this is my idea...
days ago I'm at friend's home and my eyes was catched by a little lalafell on screen with my friend that was engage in crafting (in legal and normal way)
After around half hour i am definitively that NOBODY (normal, with a social life) can have multiple 50 craft without a bot assistance.
Or a perso is an Android or is quite impossible to stay hour and hour in crafting..
We don't talk about fishing and etc... that are more terrible.
Personally i don't like crafting....but in older system (like FFXI) is possible to reach lv 100 craft with fair gaming.
Here with failure of recipe, random exp, and bad crafting system (made to encourage botting).
I like FFXIV but is very very very bad to see botter all around the game.... a game that, again, with him mechanics encourage BOT and not fair players....
Shame on SE....
Possibility to craft(BOT) in istance is again a very unhappy choice. that seem to be a gift for unfair players
When GOB bounty hunters against bot? (near every mining/logging point and etc?)
Or aggro mercenary lv 99? (XD)
I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!
I'd like more a fairest game...if my friends are botter??? I'm happy if SE ban....They banned a lot of the shard making bots in limsa a month or 2 back. In real if a friend is a thief? I'm with the law..
You'd be very surprised how often people in general commit illegal acts. I highly doubt there's a majority of do-gooders in this forum. If you value the law over friendship, you're an idiot.
That's not to say I'm defending malicious and evil people, but there are certain things one should provide exception to when it comes to friendship.
Sorry thats not how I feel. I know its not a popular stance but I dont care I dont feel the need to lie on an internet message board just to look like I care about something i dont. Truth be told I would rather bots ruin the economy than all of my friends quit playing if they were bots and got banned. Selfish but true.

I've noticed this as well, I used to craft a lot because I anticipated a time where gil would mean something but after rerolling on a more populated server I gave up on it. It felt like SE made their crafting system to thwart botters but really turned it into a tedious chore for anyone except the botters.
I liked FFXI's crafting system that depended more on randomness, time, moon phase, element, etc instead of mindless button mashing that's still annoyingly random. XI also had mats that actually cost a lot to obtain and that was usually the reason for slowed progression... something that XIV is severely lacking since gil is too easily obtained and mats cost significantly less than the crafted items. Crafters shouldn't be able to vendor their items and even come close to breaking even.
There's no rush for SE to ban all the botters, I'm sure they've identified a lot of them already. For now, they supply the wards with a lot of gear that legitimate players can't keep up with especially with most players capping DoW/M first. And I hope after they revamp DoH (I believe I read somewhere that it will become less tedious) that they'll also begin to remove botters and the hundreds of millions of gil they've stockpiled. Maybe then the wards empty out and a market might actually develop...
i've stated before and will state again i feel se has been keeping track of who is botting and who is not. when the populations increase i feel there will be a mass ban of all bots, as their should be. i just think se sees there is way too many people botting at this point to ban them all because it would hurt a struggling economy. granted, i do not know this for a fact, but i just think there is a high percentage that is botting and would reduce the population drastically when we hardly see anyone on at the time anyway
