I just noticed this looking back on the first page and decided I would quote it and show it to all who might of missed it. I bet this guy is running for president or something. His logic seems unparallel.haha, whatever floats your boat.
EDIT: It's a little humorous that people who spend so much time playing a game (R50 PGL, R45 LNC, R43 WVR) throw these accusations around. I bet you're a cool kid in FFXIV, but I don't need life advice from some chump who thinks a clepto would make a good friend.
Again.....Maybe i can stop a friend before is too late...If nobody do what can happen? (not in game obviosly)i am sure i am not the only one, but i won't befriend anyone that is known as a snitch or a backstabber. you never know how far they will go to tell on anyone about anything just to make themselves feel holier than thou.
if they are known for backstabbing and snitching on people who's to say when they stop using law as a definition of telling on someone and when they decide to try to ruin you for what they deem as immoral.
If a friend don't say "you are doing wrong thing" who can say? If a friend don't do nothing to stop he from acting like a criminal......can you really call you a friend?
For you all..frienship=covering and don't care about other's error???
mmmmmh bad idea of friendship..you are not acting for the good of a person....
BTW...obviosly not liberal law aren't correct...you can reason about correct law or not correct ones.....but for example....theft is never correct, and we can continue....
I never report a woman that don't cover her body (i'm lucky i don't live in not liberal country)
I can reason aout different law..
i have a few questions for you. Then you agree with people that break the law....you report only people that you don't know...but you don't care if a friend make the same thing...
A mafious that's the impresison i get..
Congratulation.....you are one of the people with ideal tha poison the world.
I hope this is true only for game world (who care) becouse if you act like this in real life......WOW
if a friend of yours goes with you to a bar and has 2 drinks do you call the law on them? no
if that friend gets hammered do you call the law? no, you try to get them to let you take them home or call a cab for them.
if you are in a car and your friend goes one mile an hour over the speed limit do you call the law?
have you ever called the law on your friends downloading music if those people lived in the united states? sure it's not illegal to you, but it is for them.
if the answer to any of those questions is yes i would have nothing to do with you in real life nor in the gaming world. the only one i would accept is if you said yes to calling the cops after your drunk buddy refused to let someone else bring them home and decided to drive completely wasted. at least that one you are looking out for your friend and other innocent people.

Someone who's running for president would say they're "done with you" then come back an hour later and try to reignite a conversation.
yeah true shot about my english...but if you talk about my english...probably you have ended your argumentsJeez...someone needs to relax and smoke a doubie or something. Though you'd probably have to break the law...and suffer a worse hit to your grammar, if at all possible at this point.
It can't be good to get so worked up over something so out of your hands. Botters aren't going anywhere anytime soon so just calm down and spend time crafting yourself, instead of trying to punish others.
"Maybe I can stop a friend before it's too late".
Yep, a few years in prison with the worst time of his life for something that is (probably in your case, you snitch) a minor or otherwise trivial problem will really make that friend like you and thankful that you saved his life.
Its fun to read this Thread. Just another Trollthread with Tons of mindless People and one Brainfart after another. Im just curious in which country you are living. The examples of laws you have given out, dont make sense.
Having a friend who's a thief isn't always a bad thing. Just think of all the cheap stuff you could get.
The law where he said it's not illegal to download but it is to sell it is most likely incorrect.
The fact is, it's almost a global law that you cannot "distribute" it, doesn't matter if you sell it or not. Guess what? Using a torrent distributes, since while you download you're also uploading to other downloaders.
If you torrent, no matter where you live, you're committing an illegal act. Doesn't matter if you sell it.
Whether it was his intention or not, but the OP makes a good point about how the current system is very bot friendly.
Obviously people are going to bot regardless, which is quite unfortunate. What can be changed is the number of people that do bot.
With the current system, its not only easy to do (recipe button and only need to spam standard) but there is also a significant motivation to do so (mindnumbingly boring). Thats why a topic that was brought up earlier about an auto-crafter contained some interesting discussion.
If SE wants to really combat botting then they need to make a few changes. Obviously keep the recipe button, its a nice addition, but for godsake lets add a BIT of challenge to crafting. Make abilities more potent, make luck less potent, and up the overall difficulty of the synth.
Next, drastically increase SP given per synth. Also increase the cost of each synth. Sadly this will be hard to accomplish as SE has apparently made the decision to make materials crazy abundant. Quality over quantity here.
It shouldnt take 600 synths to level up, how about 60 instead? But make it just as expensive, if not more.
Here is where the core issue arises. Gil is worthless. So its impossible to make a system thats described above, because materials, shards, and gil are crazy abundant. So instead time, patience, and sanity are the limiting factors, and that, imo, is terrible game design.
