The various suggestions that crafting should focus more on vanity gear are good ones if you think the focus of crafting should be to make money. I can still sell blue fox hide, which has been available for a while now, for about 40-65k on Leviathan. Mariner Cotton Cloth goes for about 60-100k and Dress Material upwards of 150k and those are all just the materials to make the vanity items. This is stuff people really want and are willing to pay a premium for.

Seems to me the only issue is the prices people want to charge for materials and finished crafts...

the real trouble is not the fact that dungeon give more better stuff... but more the fact that for make this stuff in craft you will need to invest a lot of time and gil. get a HQ is not assured and will demande rare mat.

that the trouble, SE don't want Crafted gears to be at the same level than raiding gear? fine... then make it easier to make. the price reflect sadly how hard to obtain HQ material for make it is hard.
SE make the craft be hard as in the other MMORPG but at the same time, make it not worth the time and money invest... it weird and stupid.
if they don't want to give crafter a role, why make class soo well develloped? why make it soo demanding? they really need to think at a way to give crafter a true role. since crafting raid gear is out of the question.

your insane prices are causing people not to buy stuff, i'd like to have some of those high end gears but the prices are way higher than i could ever afford , i think crafters lost the touch on how much gil people have in general and are able to spend on stuff, thats why you not sell much , not coil

for me it seems easier to just level my own crafter to the point i can make my own than save that amount of gil

LOTS more recipes used for vanity would be ideal, imo. Please keep in mind (as others have stated) that the cost of mats needed to craft these new 2.2 items are VERY expensive. They are also very demanding in terms of the crafter's stats (requires overmelded AF crafting gear). This is, in part, why the finished products are priced the way they are.

Players take a 100% loss when they purchase crafted gear. It can't be resold, and it doesn't hold value.

Why would you put money down on gear you might toss in the trash after a single successful raid?

If I could buy il90 gear for my BRD wear it for awhile; enjoy playing my BRD for a week then resale it and buy a different set of gear for another class you'd see a lot more market activity.

People would be willing to buy the crafted gear if they could liquidate it and get some gil back to gear up another class. This game is far too strict & permanent with how it handles gear & upgrades.

Apparently the solution to a crafter's goods not selling isn't to lower their prices, it's to complain on the official forum. Capitalism at work.

i would have at least supported allowing crafters to make 1-2 crafted pieces per class, that were sub endgame. (-10 ilvl)

Not sure why you guys all glossed over a legit reply. The i90 crafted provides stat fixes like accuracy needed in later coils. If you aren't a dedicated raider, you probably don't care for i90 crafted, but that gear could be the difference between clearing this week or having to wait an extra week. Which is a huge deal in t8 as thats 1 extra week advance on a possible i110 weapon. Our whole raid uses 2-3 pieces crafted just to fix accuracy / bad sub stats the new i110 gives.

This gear is not for everyone, if you don't care about the large cost for a small gain your group probably isn't a dedicated progression group.

On the price note it is all about your servers wealth and what they can afford. If the profit margin isn't huge, people will be more inclined to buy. I personally spent about 10 mil master crafting all classes and re melding all my gear but I have already turn that around with about 30 mil in profit.

The problem isnt coil, the problem is crafters charging (on my server) 1.2 million for one piece of gear when the mats, if bought instead of farmed, cost about 150k.
