Character creation restrictions on some worlds are ridiculous!

I play on Leviathan, and getting a friend on here to play with me is nearly impossible. Leviathan is ALWAYS closed. I've been watching that server for the last 48 hours getting very little sleep and it only opened a few times for about an hour or a little over an hour at a time. This was in the middle of the night, so my friend was asleep when this happened. A lot of people are probably being put off of the game because of this. I think Square Enix needs to get this hardware situation under control. With another massive influx of players, behavior like this is only going to aggravate people into putting the game down. I know a post like this will probably be looked over, but I know that Square Enix can afford to add a few more servers to each cluster, especially for it's "most profitable game". Most profitable can be made even more profitable with proper tech. I just think this is a bit ridiculous.

Why? Because he's complaining? I'm from 1.0 and I still think its ridiculous. I bought the game on PS4 for my sister, who's a fan of FF but no so much MMO's. She hasn't been able to create a character on my server and is already feeling like its just not worth the hassle.

I'm saying is that when 2.0 got released it was much more restrictive, like every server was like that. It might be one of those things hey it a MMO come play with your friends but there no guarantee for it though like a world pass or anything. Should play the game cause they want to play it regardless if friends are playing it, cause if they only playing it cause their friends/family usually means when their friends/family quit they will too. Sounds like giving up even before starting.

I get what you're saying, but who are you to dictate a persons reason for playing? She DOES want to play, she's just not really into MMO's. Someone like that, is more likely to play longer, given the chance to play with people they know VS already being uneasy and then solo playing.

I didn't dictate anyone your words not mine, and it was just a response to the OP that tied in with yours, servers can only hold so much data so if the world is closed all the time means it full and will have to create character on different server, no need for anyone to jump on SE back about it.

Riiight. It's just really disappointing and frustrating that they didn't prepare for the potential population increase of PS4 players. Like the OP said, It's probably putting off some new players who bought the game hoping to play with their friends, I just happened to personally know one of them.

*sigh* That's not population increase. For a population to increase, it would mean that it would have had a population to begin with, not 0. Did they just assume all PS4 players didn't know anyone currently playing the game?
