The egg hunt is really nothing special that they would need to up the spawn rate. Everything you can get out of it can be gotten elsewhere (with varying degrees of difficulty). It's not like there's any special equipment or exclusive gear that comes only from it. It's an extra something for people with free time or an obsessive compulsive disorder to work on.

Rather than fixing the spawn rate they should work on the spawn conditions and locations though. I wanted to finish a set of silver eggs to try for another gold this evening and every other spot I checked had someone staring straight at the spawn point.
