Chocobo Training Parties?

Not for nothing, but leveling chocobos just seems pointless and is so tediously slow that most people don't bother with it. Especially because there are so many restrictions.

It's new that you can mount your Chocobo while it's out, ride around, dismount, and not dismiss it. It used to be that riding it or having it out as a combat companion were mutually exclusive.

Maybe if you could queue in the Duty Finder with your chocobo companion out, more people would give a damn. But even then, for what it's worth, if you're sporting an i90 combat class, a chocobo companion contributes nothing worthwhile.

I don't believe chocobo training is completely useless. A tank chocobo is very nice to have if you're leveling a new battle class or need to do a fate in an empty zone.

Be sure to unlock the Challenge log. If you are taking it slow will it will give a significant boost to the chocobo leveling. By killing 100 enemies in a week you get 44k bonus exp.

All xp bonus in the challenge log are based on your level or that of your chocobo, they are not fixed amounts.
20 kills with your chocobo gives 5% of current level, 10% for 100 kills.
