chocobo porters.......not just for the big yellow birds anymore

I really enjoy using the porter to travel. I\while on the road I get a chance to see the wonderful landscape.

so it got me to thinking o have this huge stable of mounts that I hardly ever use. so I thought what if I could pay the porters to train my other mounts to run those routes?

example. I pay say 2j gill for them to train one of my other mounts. once this is done then when I use the porter I can pick which mount I want to ride on.. the more I pay to get trained the more choices I have on which mount I want to ride on for that trip.

so what do ya think? good bad or stupid?

I don't see why not, however once I got my grand company chocobo I never used the porters again. Even then I had only used the porter about once or twice before that ever.

Chocobo Porters useless feature kinda.

If SE wanted to make them actually useful then they should have to limit us from summoning a mount. This way can Rent Chocobo for fees like we did in XI. Sure its annoying but its a gil sink.
By Design theres no area in this game that takes long toget to. If they removed some Teleports there might be reason to use Porter for faster travel. Or you give Chocobo Porters to travel to locations players cant reach with there mounts.

If they could create Chocobo Porters into Chocobo Escort Quests for each location it might serve another purpose.

I use choco porter all the time. =D I have a chocobo, a giant eye bat guy, and a tiger.

why do I use a porter? because sometimes I like to sit back and let the choco do the running.

Can get there faster with a teleport and just afk. Also Porters have limited travel locations. Most of them just ride you in a direction for 3-5mins.

The porter is very useful if you want to get somewhere not near an Aetheryte, especially if you want a potty break...

Also, you know at some point in the story the Aetherytes are gonna break.

When I was doing the Relic quest I would use the chocobo porter to the mill which can't be ported to. Plus gave me time to make my sandwich! Dem airship sandwiches I miss them. lol
