My two cents on the ATMA Issue

So i'm usually not one to complain about hard content or anything, but considering this atma bs isn't even remotely hard just very time consuming & boring.

I've been running solo for a while, made quite some party's to grind together, I've seen people coming and going. Raging after hours without a single drop. Seen people get a drop within 20 minutes. And here i still am without a drop. over 10 hours later.

At this point i'm just dissapointed and very frustrated.
And at the start i was genuinely happy for someone if his atma dropped.
But now i could strangle the people that find one after only 30 minutes of doing fates.
I Could bear with this quest if it was hard. But its not even close to being hard
We are being forced to do these fates, which i already hate because its pretty much the only way to level up but i made my peace with that. But after 10 hours of doing fates without even getting the slighest bit of progession. it sucks the fun out of the game real fast.

And it also shows why i hate the luck based crap in MMOs.
I've seen people getting 2 atmas under a hour, Yet i spend 10 times more time and yet i have 0 atmas.
And the problem doesn't lay with the low drop rate, Well maybe a little bit.
i think the problem is that we are being forced to do low level fates(Which most of us hate to start with)
There is just no sign of progression while you do this. i would prefer to do random dungeons while i get some more tomestones or do a intensive & hard fight.

But this is just so boring & dull, and like i said. 10 hours without drop? Atleast for me.
So its gonna take me approx 120 hours ATLEAST to finish this quest. And once again its not the fact that it takes 120 hours, its how you spend those 120 hours.

Because there is a difference in spending 120 hours doing fun quests/dungeons and just grinding low level fates which 90% of us hate real bad.

Both of mine came within five minutes of joining a group. The other 8 hours nothing. I'm disappointed that even how you do in the fate it doesn't matter. I've had fates where I held aggro on every damn enemy and nothing. If the whole 20 mob is following you in a freakin circle you oughta get something

I really can't imagine what fool came up with this quest, Sorry to say it like this but this is just insane. Grinding low level content for a upgrade? And not just a few hours PER drop. no i'm at about 12-14 hours right now and its driving me nuts. Seen plenty of people get drop some even after 15 minutes. yet here i still am. Farming away....

It's pretty mindblowing someone on the dev team could think that grinding low level fates is good design.

Was especially disheartening when I was around the 6 hour mark an FC mate logged in, asked how to start the atma quest, i directed em to it, he goes to start farming as well and in the 2nd fate he gets his drop. Also as you said, I would much rather spend this time on actual hard or new content. But just spamming fates which i have already done for the umpteenth time for stuff is just not fun and engaging. It is a boring time sink. One I am thinking I am just going to skip. Maybe if i could do these fates as a lower level class and actually make the time worthwhile I could then definitely see doing it.

Yea i feel your pain, i for now am just skipping it, 12 hours and no drop is a no go for me, atleast for doing fates, Just gonna run the new dungeons they are fun. gonna do leviathan a few times really enjoy that fight to, but the damn fool who made this quest. i'm pretty sure this is the reason people get a meltdown xD

Pretty sure they'll fix it and it will only take 20 minutes to do...... Maybe you can send your forth retainer that you pay 48$ a year for to get em!!!

This is really pathetic, I don't know what dev in their right mind would think this is a good new addition, let alone FUN... FIX THIS SQUARE. I refuse to grind for Atma. You won't be getting anymore of my money if these low drop rates continue.

I will ahead post my comment from my thread.

First of all, positive first. At least, only one thing is good thing.

13,500 myth tomes is wonderful idea. We did ask for longer path to upgrade relic weapons.

However.

NOBODY eve ask for fates grinding! I mean, SE you knew no one even like doing fates for quests! Crystal tower fate was so horrible to begin with.

Now Zodiak relic quests ask you to collect 12 atmas from FATEs...with 1-5% of drop rate. Horrible idea ever.

Please remove that fates from Zodiak and have us grind on specific MOBs. Then we will be happy.

SE, please don't ever drag quests into fates. Nobody want fates at all. Next time I see new quest being drag into fate then I'm done with this game for good.

I don't spend my money on waiting game.
