I love the "if you want X, don't use that". Who are you to tell people what something is meant for ? Are you a dev, a God or the most important player in the World ? No. I don't have to expect anything, but I should expect to play like YOU decided to ?

When I join a group in DF, many players like to go as fast as they can. No, you cannot decide what they should expect when they are in they queue, neither do I.

I don't expect a speedrun, I expect to do the dungeon as fast as the group can. If you don't play to play at 100%, don't involve strangers in your "chill out". This simple fact is called "respect".

Again, I don't leave when I see a i55 healer, I will complete the dungeon with him, even if it takes an hour. Again, I don't leave if the 2 DPS cannot AOE, I'll just go slower. But I can't accept when someone is gimping himself and the whole group just because he wants to "chill out".

Healer refuses to heal the tank, does not do his job, tank dies.
And you come here blaming the tank...

Grats, youre the typical dps that cant look further than his own global cooldown.

There's a difference between a healer not being able to keep you up through multiple mobs or simply refusing to. Personally i always ask 'lets make this fast?'. I havent had anyone say 'no i want a slow run' as of yet. Most people are thrilled to see a good geared tank making big and fast pulls.

Eh, i just want to kill the boss, and so do the other 3 people. Some people dont take advice and cant be helped, so be it, thats their loss. But if you never try you will never know.
Here's something to think about: what if that bad tank does another dungeon and gets dps that are way meaner than you? He's now getting insulted for not knowing how to play, while you could have shown him the way in a much friendlier tone leading to a better experience for him.

Typing on ps3 is really time consuming. I accompanied two FC members to Coperbell HM a couple of days ago for their first time. We DF'd the tank and it turned out to be his first time as well. Explaining the mechanics was more draining than the dungeon itself.
I have a crossbar just for chat - a greetings macro, farewell macro, "new to dungeon/class" macro and two emotes, cheer and congratulate. I usually start with greetings, cast my buffs and then cheer the group. If someone's new I cheer them on individually and then congratulate after bosses/whoever gets loot. Unfortunately there isn't much else i can do unless people wait for me to type. Emotes help but sometimes i end up looking like I'm on a sugar rush because I cheer to all the questions i want to answer yes to, or simply show the party I agree.

Saying hello costs nothing. Personally I find it very rude if you don't greet people. You're not playing with npcs.

So, about the people that say typing on the ps3 is too time consuming. Do they even have a keyboard? I use a USB keyboard. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done.

You will run into that from time to time. As mentioned already best not to let it get to you . As you did blist and your set. It's usually best not to feed the trolls especially if they know it's getting under your skin..
Anywho.. ive only been playing for about 3 weeks 41MNK DIABLOS server. And I'm not she if it's just me, I know ny Fc has alot of newer plates as well. But silence seems to be a popular theme wether it be a duty finder pick up party. Or within the FC give it the a handful of members I've gone with in dungeons raids. When I think of mmorpg it goes hand in hand as part ufc the family experience. Hell I'm sure it continues to my long run in ffxi(na release till about a few years ago)

I don't, and since English is not my PS3 is not in English, I can't even use the dictionary, I have to write everything.

USB keyboards can be bought for under 10 bucks and they all work with the ps3. Just get one
