Duty Finder and troublesome players

Was in Halatali (the lvl 20 dungeon) and the tank stopped tanking midway and asked to be kicked. Nobody complied, so he kept spamming the chat asking to be kicked. DDs and healer kept going through to the last boss and one of us finally piped in "this'll go faster if you help us kill the last boss", so he came and we did it. He took longer spamming the chat with "kick me plz" than the penalty would've been.

I have no issue playing with players who don't speak English. In fact, I generally prefer it.

Trust me, when you have to explain something to a person and they do not understand english you will have a problem. Generally I stick with a dungeon if I get it and do not rage quit or get rude, but if a person can't understand me when I have to explain something to them... well they are wasting my time and their own.

A funny thing that happened to me once. I joined Halatali HM and the healer looked at me, guess he didn't inspect me or look at my hp since he left... or perhaps he did not like healing warriors since there are bunch of warriors that do not know how to play the class.

well today i was helping one of the members of my FC out with wanderer's palace. and decided to DF it up with a couple of randoms. so we're doing good untill the tank started being a jerk.starting by telling me off cause i didn't use the LB on the pudding boss. then after the dungon was over and i left he told my friend i was the worst dragoon ever and he added me to his blacklist. and i've noticed alot of tanks just being more rude lately.

I have the game on PC and PS3/4 now and I can understand not wanting to type on a controller. If I am playing on PS4 odds are I won't type back if people say stuff cause it takes forever to type on a controller.

I've had troublesome players but they were just very cruel and mean to the tank, in fact most of the problems I have are from DPS. Nothing like leaving for not saying hi though.

DF is always hit or miss. In my case mostly fine but even the few bad experiences myself or people in my FC have had turns me off to it. Which is a shame given how many Tomestones you get from it. Now I pretty much do everything with FC members only. Well, except CT as that's not practical. Progression is slower as far as Tomestones but I get to maintain some faith in humanity lol.

In my case its irrelevant. Playing with a PS3, I wouldn't take the time to type up an explanation to begin with. It would just tick off other players as its time consuming and I can't keep my character mobile while typing. And personally, I'm patient and don't mind having to slow down for other players.So if it takes time for them to figure things out, I'm alright with that. And more often than not, another player would beat me to it anyways.


I could understand the frustration of selecting specifically for English speaking parties and getting placed with a team of players who don't speak English. But I don't and don't feel any need to do so.

Earlier today, I went to the Binding Coil of Bahamut - Turn 2, hoping to clear it for story purposes. The other seven people want to let the ADS enrage before trying to fight. I suggest against it, and they claim it's easier. Now, I've cleared Turn 2 once before on enrage mode, and while I remained polite, they did not. I ended up leaving due to their cruelty and idiocy, and I have no desire to do any endgame content now. I'd rather spend my time on this game leveling every class to 50 than deal with such people.
