To add to my accepted bug report on Milkroot in Moderation, I have just discovered a similar bug with Shocking Developments.

The tainted crystal, when selected, does not auto-select the Spring Water (this time it was the only Spring Water key item I had), nor did it accept a Spring Water from the hotbar. This time I tested a cross-bar Spring Water and it worked.

Both the hotbar and cross-bar icons appeared ghosted, however, while only the mini-icon in the Duty List was not in a ghosted state.
