    Is SE aware that they are losing subscribers due to error 406 in payment processing?

    When attempting to renew my subscription through Mog Station, it allows me to put in my payment information, then asks me to confirm the payment, and then says "An error has occurred. Please confirm the status of any relevant options and then try again. For details, please contact the Square Enix Support Center. (Error code: 406)".

    I contacted support about this issue. They claimed that this was a card declined error, but I had just gotten off the phone with my bank to confirm that they were not declining any charges and that there were sufficient funds available.

    I decided to wait one week, and then try again, with the same result. The only solution offered was to purchase game time cards, or crysta, to pay for subscription indirectly.

    Unfortunately, I do not feel that that is an acceptable solution, and I will not be renewing my subscription unless SE addresses the issues with their payment system so that I can pay for my subscription for this game directly.

    After researching this problem, I have come to the conclusion that it is fairly common, and that there are many who are willing to buy crysta, but also many who cannot, or like me, will not.

    So far, I have not seen any acknowledgement from Square Enix, or Square Enix support representatives that there is an issue here that needs to be addressed with their payment processing system. This contributes to my decision not to renew service at this time.

    If SE has a customer retention department for FFXIV:ARR, I want them to be aware of this, but I am not sure how to make sure that happens.

    If an SE representative reads this post, I would appreciate an official public response regarding this issue so that I know it is being heard. I know there are many frustrated fans in the same situation. I have read the sticky on error 401 and 601, and do not feel that that addresses this issue as I have taken all of the steps suggested there, and this is technically for a different error number anyway.

    true they might lost some subscribers that don't want to deal with it but if person truly wants to play the game they will find a way to keep their sub alive whether it crysta or time cards etc

    sometimes it isnt your bank which is declining it. for example if u have a mastercard u are using u would need to contact mastercard itself if it isnt your bank who is declining it.

    Not only cant subscribe but also cant buy extra retainers or transfer and we all know that you cant do this with game card and crysta isnt available for everyone including my self .

    Some systems are very picky about how you enter your information and I mean down to the T so if your card says John D Doe and you enter John Doe it will decline you or you zip code on your statment says 56789-2345 and you just enter 56789 it will decline the card.
