    Is there a place for a crystal tower type raid in HW?

    With the launch of Alex story mode, where would a heavansward version crystal tower fit in?

    We know it is coming, but where does it fit in the scheme of things. Alex story is a raid that is casual friendly and gets you gear to catch up to start the "hard" raid. This was the crystal towers purpose in ARR.

    So what are your thoughts on a new cystal tower and what function would it serve?

    what player base would it cater to?

    Where would it fit in terms of gear progression?

    Would you like to see the resources put to make it, like Alex, story and savage?

    Would you like it to be a 24 man coil/alex raid alternative?

    Would you like to see it tuned down to 8 man?

    My two cents:
    I would like the Hw version to provide a horizontal alternative to Alexander. A 24 man savage mode for Fc alliances with parallel ilvl rewards, environmental puzzles, trash, and the like.

    nah its not, they'll be some new 24 man towers no doubt, there too popular to not put new ones in

    Well one thing I'd imagine is the 24 raid will give a token that you can trade in for a say, ilv190 gear since Alexander requires more then 1 token to trade in for gear par the ACS.

    A lot of people currently think that allagan ship that roams the Heavensward areas may be related to the new 24-man raid. There's also a lot of room for expansion in Azys Lla. Maybe something to do with the warring triad? Either way we already have confirmation that a new 24-man raid is coming in 3.1 alongside the new relics.

    3. It's never been about gear progression, mostly glamour or as catch up/alt classes.

    4. I'd rather they release a new Alex every 3 months personally, with both Normal and Savage, and then another separate raid after 3 parts of Alex are done with both Normal and Savage mode too.

    5. Not sure what you mean with that, but I don't care for the amount of people in a raid.
