    And well, if I won the lottery and got a Lamborghini, I sure would show that off. Just because it's an ingame item, that does not change human nature of wanting to show off.

    I'm sure you would feel differently if you were on the other end of the RNG stick, which is the whole purpose of the thread. Surely there is a way to make the quest long and time consuming so that not everyone is handed it freely and running around with relics...without making it completely based on dice.

    For anyone who played and enjoyed any old-school korean MMORPG, atmas are just a minor time sink, something to do while waiting on timers or party finder, not something to actually grind. At worse, is a 1% drop rate for each fate, which is damn high.

    People also ignores their gear grow path. They think they HAVE to go for ATMA and then ANIMUS when those are high end raid gear. The progression as it is now is:

    Relic Zenith > EX weekly/Allagan > Leviathan EX> (now you should start going to +T6) Rowena`s Token > Non-Weathered > High Allagan/Atma/Animus.

    All people crying and blaming SE for this light timesink want to jump a lot of steps, instant gratification at its finnest.

    And honestly, nobody is complaining about the time sink. People are complaining about the randomness of the whole thing. You can get your Atma in less than 24 hours while someone else doesn't get it until after 5 months.
    I'm fairly certain that if this were a proper time-sink, and SE said "you'll be spending the next 2 months on this", AND you'd see some bloody progression, nobody would be complaining on the forums in the first place!

    Which is not a requisite to incorpore good old mechanics like low % based drops. And it to be random is the best thing of the whole system. Luck is something people need to progress, there is no progress without having good luck, hard work or genius aren`t everything, if you want something, you always need luck. And thats perfect. If someone gets it in 12 hours, fine, if someone doesn`t get it in 1 year, fine too.

    The only bad thing about atmas is that you can`t trade-sell em, that would be even better.

    And the last part is just naive. Everyone would complain if for example, instead of atma drops, there was "bars" that needs to be filled by killing monsters on the FATEs, lets say, 1.000 kills per map. You will have the exact same ammout of QQ all over the place. 1.000? make it 100 and it would be all the same. And easier than that, the other part of the forums would begin his own QQ on how atmas are easier to get and make their hardworked allagan, levitahan EX, weekly EX, high allagan weapons useless.

    ATMA system is perfect like it is now. The only ones turning it into a booring mindless grind are players themselves, having so much to do, dedicate more than 1 hour a day for such a booring activite is stupid. And if it didn`t drop in the first 60 minutes, it will not drop at the minute 61. In other words, lrn2mmorpg.

    If you read a lot of the posts in other threads, people would prefer "bars" or some notification of progress, it's the randomness/rng of the whole thing that is frustrating. I would quite happily farm 1000 mobs per zone, at least I can see that bar move, and know I'm getting somewhere whilst I'm doing it.

    This! I'd prefer to grind something with an actual progression. Maybe they could make it easier by simply adding a token for each fate that you could turn in X amount for 1 atma stone of your choice.
