I really don't understand crafting.

u might wanna consider levelin all the gathering classes and quite a few crafting classes 2gther... most stuff u make needs items from other gatherin/craftin classes so can b expensive if u plan on buying them :P

Most fan sites have various tools to help you stay organized, but the best way to learn is by doing. Though, I'd say it's a good idea to level all your DoL/DoH together, for a few reasons:

1: Cross-class abilities. Mainly for DoH, you can use abilities from each class to make crafting high-quality items easier.

2: Making items for each other. Most items require ingredients from other crafts or gatherers, but the good news is that items are on a fairly clear level system for the most part. This means the wood your level 20 botanist gathers and the ore your level 20 miner gathers can be combined by a level 20 blacksmith and level 20 carpenter into a spear for your level 20 lancer.

3: Sharing gear. Up until level 50, all 3 gatherers use the same gear, and all 8 crafters use the same gear.

The marketboard is a whole game in itself. Somedays, I don't even change into a non crafting class, and just make gil all day. Its fun. Hard to explain how I guess....theres a satisfaction in reading the market, deciding when its good to sell a certain item, when its good to not sell a certain item etc, seeing your gil increase dramatically based on your decisions. The crafting itself is faceroll. I think when people say they "enjoy crafting" they just mean they enjoy playing the marketboard.

Although ultimately, gil is useless. But I do it anyways, so it must be fun? =D

honestly i enjoy crafting lol its fun :3 i nvr sell anything on market at all its tooo up and down in my world to make any kind of profit so i craft purely for a break from fate grinds etc xD

leves weren't really nerfed at all. You get the same total reward. Since while they reduced the HQ bonus, they increased the default payout.
