what class can use a 2h sword , and can a gladiator be dps ?
None and no.
To elaborate a bit on this:
Currently there are actually no 2h swords at all. Also no 2h Maces or Hammers or something along those lines.
Marauder / Warrior wears a 2h Axe and is a tanking class. Note that you can't queue as a "DPS" (whyever dps is a word now, it's damage per second, how can that be a word for a damage-dealer?^^) when you're Marauder or Paladin (Warrior/Gladiator obviously too) even when you'd want to.
If you absolutely want you could go as a Warrior DPS. It is playable in lower-content (your burst is actually above average imho, though sustained DPS is lower than a "real" dd) if you find a static group that would take you. It doesn't even work for 4 mans otherwise though so not really recommended.
Also it's highly recommended to go Paladin, as a Gladiator sadly has no real upside to a PLD.
Probably the closest GLA/PLD weapon to a two-handed sword is the PLD relic weapon Curtana, due to it's size, but even that's wielded in one hand. Single-handed swords are the weapon type for GLA and PLD.
As has been said, 2-handed swords do not currently exist in FFXIV. It's possible it might be brought in at a later date (especially as early cg artwork for version 1.0 showed 'Derplander' with a 2-handed sword strapped to his back), but nothing is known for certain at this stage.
As for GLA being a damage dealer, it is possible, but the official designated role for GLA (which it's job upgrade PLD builds on) is tank. PLD does get an ability called 'Sword Oath' which reduces defense but increases damage, but this is more meant for soloing.
Having said that, some party situations where there are multiple tanks in the party you may in fact be asked to DD (with Sword Oath), but usually you'll be expected to tank (with Shield Oath instead). It's the nature of the beast.

Sword oath doesn't decrease def, it raises auto attack potency by 50
Doh! You're right, I can't believe I messed that up. Thanks for that clarification.![]()
Lol no prob, does in a way by not using shield, but that lowers attack by 20% too soo. I tend to use sword a lot in bosses, if I have a competent healer
a sword dps class would be so nice xc
