Just to confirm: You have registered a PS3 copy of FFXIV, went to the Mog Station, did the upgrade, and tried to play and are getting the error? Are you on the correct PSN account that you registered your FFXIV on?

You should work for SE. You just helped me figure out my own stupidity. I have two e-mails that look identical except for the last mail.com and I was using the wrong one. It seems fine now and is preparing the first-time setup. I thank you for helping!

Is there any way to use more than one account on the PS4, without buying the game yet again? I hope I'm just being stupid and overlooking something. Surely they wouldn't lock it to a single account, that's ridiculous.

Thx Ainiwaffles ( luv the name! ) I did have a different PSN account on my ps4. I started a second user on my ps4 and added the old account.
I'm loading as I type this. Thx again!!! Ya should work for SE. I did not see that you must keep the PSN account you started with anywhere in the SE instructions to upgrade ( good onya mate! )
Nanaya: do what I did. Second user, add your old PSN account to it and save it. You will have two accounts, two users. But it's working for me. Good luck.

A bit off topic but I was wondering: to get the additional items of the PS4 collector's edition version (wind up moogle, fat choco) is the ONLY WAY to register the code directly from within the PS4 menus?
I do own a copy of FFXIV for PS4, but I do not own a PS4 yet (gonna buy it later this year) but I wanted to use the codes already on my account

If you have a CE account you get the new CE items automatic
If you have a normal account you can upgrade it in the Mogstation to a CE account.

Have you relog? Once you relog you should have 2 letter in your moogle mail.

I do own a PC 1.0 CE edition, a PS3 ARR CE edition and I also do own a PS4 CE edition.
The PS4 CE edition has all the items of the past version PLUS two additional ones.
I'm interested in these 2 additional ones and that's why I was asking if the only way to register that code is FROM WITHIN the PS4 or if I can do it somewhere else (on the web, for instance).
Why? Simple, I currently do not own a PS4 (console) and I'm not gonna buy one until the end of the year, while instead I currently play FFXIV on the PC and would love to get those 2 additional items already ^^

You don't even need the ps4 CE to get those as long as you already had either the pc or PS3 CE already. Everyone with a previous CE will get the new ps4 CE bonuses without needing to purchase the ps4 version.
