I like the weapon skills as they are. The effects are cool, yet simple and rank-ups feel like a nice upgrade as well. For example, I love Skewer II as it feels like there's more power to it, and that is done without over-exaggerating it. I much rather prefer the effects as they are now, rather than crazy flashy animations cluttering my screen. Imagine that in a larger group of people fighting bosses or something.

Ability effects needs to be balanced so that they look good in a larger scale setting, not to mention balanced so that they don't cause performance issues.
