if you sacrifie a lalafell at exactly 3AM oclock you get all 12 atmas.
if you sacrifie a lalafell at exactly 3AM oclock you get all 12 atmas.
I'm not sure how well this theory holds up. From my experience, I was just randomly selecting ATMA from the list. The first 6 I got within ~4 hours. The 7th, atma of the damn water bearer, took me over 8 hours over the course of 4 days and 250+ fates. The last 5 I got within about 2-3 hours, with the first 3 of those dropping within 10 minutes of each other, the 4th 20 minutes after the last, and the final one about an hour after the last.
My opinion, is that you may have increased chances for X amount (3-4) per day, then it starts dropping off significantly. That's just the curve that I experienced however so your results may vary; although, it does make some sense.
My local time is PST and i tried farming it according to the local time and it didn't dropped for 45 minute so decided to try farming according to JST and i got my atma on the first time.
Right now not farming since i am studying for a test
Scorpion last night in 2 fates
Fish on the 1st fate, archer didn't drop after 8 fates, will try more again later
This doesnt work. Its just pure RNG. I had been like 8+ hrs each on East, North and Central Shroud and done over 40 FATE's and then I got Atmas.
It won't work. The method you said is nothing more then a over simplified, luck dice god summoning.
The correct way is need 9 lalafell. The first 8 need to be a laid feet pointing at the 8 directions ( N, NE, E.......SW, W , NW). The 9th Lalafell is to be place head standing. It has to be done on any 9th Umbral day begining of each month. The problem is you need between 1am to 4am and it need lightingday.... there are other stuff needed like Miqo'te pelts and Elezen organs, etc. Hardest reagent will be heart of a selfless lalafell. I used to sell all, but forced to close shop.

closed for business till further notice
Drop rate is higher if you farm with no pants on.
In my opinion, I still think it works like this:
You have a roll of the 1-100 RNG against a 10% chance of Atma dropping on every FATE you're registered as participating in. (Maybe less if it's not a Gold/Success.)
That is both high enough for people to get all 12 quickly, and low enough for people to have rotten luck and not be done after upwards of 60 hours of it. It's also high enough for people to mistakenly see patterns where there are none.
i dunno about this theory but i strongly suspect that server time or eorzea time do play a roll in slight increases in drop rates for particular zones.
My experience...I got my last 3 atmas last night within an hour. i think i only had trouble with 2 atmas out of the 12 (maiden and lion), which i didn't bother spending time farming i just went to a new zone every 25-35 min till i had those two left. I think i spent a total of 8 hours getting all 12 atmas in a course of 3 days.
3 of the atmas were single fate drops ( teleport in, go nearest fate, get drop)
