Just looking to pin anything on Bethesda huh. They are not the developers of the Gamebryo engine either. Like dozens of other developers in the past decade its just licensed for use. And while yeah its not the best engine to choose, its also the talent of the development team to make it work properly and look good.

For example, some recent games that come to mind, and also run on the Gamebryo engine are Rift & Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga, both of which look and play great.

Also Skyrim is running on an entirely new engine that Bethesda developed themselves, and while that doesn't mean there won't be any bugs, at least they'll know the engine through and through this time. We'll just have to wait and see, but I've rarely played a game in the last decade by any developer that was entirely bug free...

Skyrim will likely be using a heavily modified version of the Gamebryo engine as thats what they were stating prior to fans giving it a massive "Sigh" and they switched to saying they are using a "All new" engine...thats probably the same Gamebryo hybrid they were currently using.

I don't care who made it, Bethesda shoved it down our throats with Oblivion and fallout, and pretty much forced Obsidian to use for New Vegas. So yeah I will put all the blame on Bethesda.

"I've never played a game that is bug free"

True, but Oblivion and Fallout were abysmally bug ridden and Bethesda pretty much gave fans the middle finger and just waited for the people to go and fix it themselves. Somethings wrong when you need to modify a game just so it works...
