Your tank cant keep hate :
Your role as a healer is to heal, what's the role of a tank ? If he can't keep hate, he is not doing his job... You should not worry about that. And if you heal, you generate hate, which makes the situation even harder to control ! Just let the tank maintain aggro before healing him (you have stoneskin maybe + adloquium, which gives A LOT of shield before any heal is necessary, so you have time to cast Shadow flare). If the dps want to hit the wrong target /before the tank can get some enmity,it is not your fault !

    What is coming ?
2 solutions : 1. Learn the fights (you will farm many dungeons, you will know everything you need to know with experience, trashmobs are always easy to learn (some may use some aoe, but you have a big red mark on the ground to react)
    2. Use focus target on the main enemy, you can see his cast bar while healing your tank (best exemple is Death Sentence in turn5, but you will not see it until a few weeks if you just popped 50).

Taken from a post on my Arcanist forums:

    1) Well I'll go through the main skills:
-Physick: Low mana cost filler heal. 400 potency. You want to use it to heal single time damage (for example when a dps takes an aoe he shouldn't have), and as a filler on the tank when there is no spike damage coming or when shields are already on.

-Adloquium: Adloquium is a special skill as it heals your target for a decent amount of hp (300 potency) and applies a shield for the same value on the target. Moreover when Adlo crits, the shield is doubled: for example, if I crit Adlo for 1k, the shield applied will absorb 2k damage. You want to use it on tanks mainly when spike damage are coming, you can use it on the rest of the party too, but don't overuse it since the mana cost is pretty high (319mp/cast).

-Succor: Our main aoe Heal, pretty low potency (150) and has the same property as Adloquium, it applies a shield on each target for the value they got healed. That being said, crit on succor don't double the shield. As for Adloquium, don't spam it, 399 mp/cast. Put it once or twice and use your fairy for aoe heals mostly (and count on that WHM too!).

-Leeches: Scholar's dispell skill, 186mp/cast. Use it when there is something to dispell.

-Aetherflow: Give you 20% of your manaback + 3 charges for skills I will detail below. Use it on cd (most of the time).

-Lustrate: Lustrate is a off-GCD skill mana free (costs 1 Aetherflow charge) healing your target for 25% of his HP. As it is off GCD it is really good on spike damage, best used on tanks since it's % based. There are different ways to use it: -the oh-shit button when a spike unexpected come
-while you're dpsing in Cleric Stance to not switch it off (requires you to know barely how much dmg tank will take though and being comfortable with the fight)
-saving mana, it's a mana free skill so instead of casting a mana costly skill just use it.
My personal thought is that you should keep one stack for a lustrate in case, while your Aetherflow is on cd. When cd is about to reset just pop it instead of a physick/adlo and use Aetherflow.

-Energy Drain: Well same as for SMN, hits the target for 150 potency, mana free and off-GCD. It gives you about 225 mp back and some life (50% of dmg dealt). It sounds pretty good, better than lustrate when you have spare stacks left and Aetherflow is off CD but for latest turns of Coil, you're so lacking accuracy that the chances of missing this skill are high. I wouldn't recommend to use it on latest coil turns.

-Sacred Soil: Mana free, off-GCD aoe that you place on the ground. When people stand in it they take 10% less damage. It lasts 15seconds and when you use it you have 20% chance that your next Succor will be mana free. Good to use when you know an Aoe doing a good bit of damage will come in the next 15sec.

I'll move to the cooldowns now:

-Eye for an Eye: 30sec buff that you cast on your target (can't be applied on yourself), when a mob hits the guy buffed with E4E, there is 20% chance that it will apply a debuff on the mob causing him to deal 10% less damage for 20sec. Good to use on boss fight around 20sec before something happens (like Death Sentence on Twintania)

-Virus: Reduce all main stats of the target by 15% (except VIT ofc), 10sec duration with 90sec recast. When you use it the mob gains a 60sec immunity to Virus, so you need to place it at an accurate time. Just before a spike damage on your tank, or an aoe.

-Rouse: Increase heals done by the fairy by 40% for 20sec, fairy will be immuned to pretty much all cc's too. Good to use before using EoS's aoe heal or when you'll need a lot of heal on a tank for example.

    Lastly: The fairy skills

-Embrace: 300 potency heal, 2sec cast, 3sec cooldown. Well not much to say, micro manage your fairy and just use it on the people who needs it.

    Specific to Eos:
-Whispering Dawn: 100 potency aoe heal for 21sec with 1min cooldown. Use it just before an aoe will happen on the raid, care about the range, only 15y around the fairy.

-Fey Covenant: Increase your and the party's magical defense by 40% causing them to take way less dmg by magical aoes. Really useful to use before magical aoes (like Earthen Fury from Titan). 2mins cooldown, 20sec duration.

-Fey Illumination: Increase the heal you and your mates will do for the next 20sec, good to use when big aoe heals will be needed or when big damage spikes will come.

    Specific to Selene:
-Silent Dusk: A silence on your target with 40sec cooldown. Not really easy to use but can be useful on turn 2 when someone misses his silence.

-Fey Glow: 30% spell speed buff on you and the party (if you have 100 spell speed, you will have 130 spell speed instead), 30seconds duration, 1min cooldown

-Fey Light: Same as Fey glow for Skill Speed.

A last but not so useless skill:
-Sustain: Provides a HoT on your pet preventing it to use Embrace on itself since it will heal your fairy up.

    Cross-Skills:
-Swiftcast: Well the most needed, can be used to raise people who died, to use dps skills, to instantly put an Adlo when it's needed, or a desperate succor. 1min cooldown.

-Stoneskin: 10% life shield with a terribly long cast time, way less efficient than adloquium for scholar but good to have to provide more shields. 3sec cast time, 266 mp

-Cleric Stance: Allow you to dps decently, it switches value of your MND to INT but you do like 50% less heal when you use it. Good to use when damage are needed and heals are not so needed. (You can on pretty much every fight get the time to put it on apply your 4 dots, a shadow flare and put if off)

-Aero: Good damage, instant dot, 106 mp

-Surecast/Blizzard/Protect: Choose one of them depending on the situation. Use Surecast if you will get interrupted and you know it, Protect in 4man parties and Blizzard 2 when aoes are needed (even though I've never used it tbh) and to bind ppl in pvp.
As for the hate stealing off of a tank, 1) you shouldn't be healing DIRECTLY on the pull. Have them SS and/or Adlo'd before the go in and can Flashx2 or Overpower the mobs so as to not steal hate off of them. 2) Any tank that loses hate to a Scholar is PROBABLY doing it wrong. We're not known for our AoE healing and therefore generate less hate than WHM's.

Controlling your faery is "easilly" done via macros. Which you want to use however is up to you. EoS does best under macro'ing, while Selene is pretty meh while macro'ing and controlling since she either buffs skill speed for 30 or spell speed for 30, both on a 60 second cool down so it's w/e when it comes to her and when she fires them off.
