    You need to do the lv 10 class quest of the class with which you started ARR before you can join another guild.

    As a 1.0 character there was first the character creation part of the old class where you could change the appearance of the character, his name, the server and you also choose here with which class you want to start. Maybe it was on Arcanist as default and you didn't see it.
