I think the 2.2 update is really good and it's obvious that care has been taken to address game balance. The zodiac quest in particular is spreading people out into content that was previously unpopular. Many areas are again viable for levelling by Fate because players are chasing atma there, ensuring there's a good chance that all fates are completed. You can see signs of life everywhere now.

We have increased variety with 6 different roulettes to do daily, a challenge log encouraging us to do a bit of everything; it even has bonus exp rewards for chocobo companions. Retainers gathering items for us, more options for gearing and acquiring tomestones. The Hildibrand quest line is a big success with some really funny moments and nods to past FF games.

I think everyone should try their hand at many different activities. If you are grinding one thing until you are no longer having any fun, it is time to do something else. Try levelling a tank class; they are still the most in demand role for duties, and levelling is easier than ever before with many different bonuses to collect from roulettes, the relevant sections of challenge log, and your hunting log.

If you're already fully levelled there's a wealth of endgame content to pursue. Do many coils and primals towards your exclusive mounts. Try to collect all the glamorous gear from Labyrinth now that restrictions have been removed there. Use that new glamour system to create some really original looks. Some of the i70 pieces from the latest dungeons are quite attractive.

If you aren't sure of what to do, keep checking the party finder and assist the people there who are calling for help. Switch roles/classes from time to time to see things from different angles. The game is only as repetitive and grindy as you make it. Don't let atma drop rates ruin your day. Have fun!
