    Clothes - Belt

    Is it normal that all the clothes our charaters wear are visible on it, except belt???

    they decide to take out the belt aspect, personally i still don't get it why. some clothing can't match because of this now.

    in the 1.0 all the clothes was visible, belt include. while the beta they had tell us why. mostly for make more clothes and belt was in the way or something like this.

    Yes, that was by design in version 2.0. The excuse given was that it gave the artists more freedom in designing outfits if the belt graphic was included on the top or simply not present at all as they didn't have to worry about clipping and such with the different designs.

    Having the belt as a separate piece of visible equipment would mean that EVERY piece of gear for all jobs would have to slim at the waistline for the belt or we would have clipping nightmares wearing any mismatched sets... We have far more creative armor designs as a result of them integrating the belt visuals into the other pieces.

    I'd say less artistic freedom, and more easier for low-end PC's/PS3.

    Or that SE would have to implement one of several mesh deformation methods that would solve the problem entirely as well as allow them to restore the lower halves of some of characters to their original proportions.
