    Question Warrior & Pacification

Sup folks and good day to you all in Eorzea!

I have been leveling my Warrior to 50 and never notice pacification much until the later dungeons and beginning end game content. It seems to constantly pop on me. My questions are:

1 - What cause Pacification? Myself or mobs?
2 - Is there a way to minimize Pacification from occurring so much?
3 - Why does it seem that I am the only lvl50 WHM that removes this buff?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I would love to offer better tanking skills to the limited pool of Eorzean tanks!

    1. Berserk. 5 seconds of pacification after the 20 seconds of it are finished. Although some mobs can cause it, too.
    2. Be more careful about using Berserk.
    3. Because it's 5 seconds. By the time a healer finishes whatever spell they're already casting, it's even less. And then the cast time of Esuna itself cuts even more time off of it. By the time Esuna actually lands, you're saving maybe a single GCD of pacification, and locking yourself out of heals or other spells for another GCD.

Edit: Also, there's a certain level of trust involved re: Esuna. When I'm healing, I trust Warrior tanks to not use Berserk at foolish times. You shouldn't ever put yourself in a situation where the healer needs to remove pacification (e.g., leaving yourself pacified right before Mountain Buster). So I tend to assume when the pacification icon pops up that it's probably not a big deal; I'll Esuna if I don't have bigger fish to fry.

Once pacification hits u can use flash twice. it will at the very least solidify enmity and not keep u standing there derping for 5 seconds.

Also, I haven't WAR'ed in a while but can't u also use Brutal Swing under pacification?

Yes. Pacification only stop Weaponskills. Flash is a spell, Brutal Swing is an ability.

Knowing "Berserk" causes that helps, but it is usually a 3 second count, so I assume it is most enemies that are causing that. I'll have to watch and see the diiference as much as I can.

    Thanks for the info though!

I have actually never used flash on my warrior, never needed to do so, I hold hate pretty well. So far at least But I think I will likely have to once I dig more in to end game. I think the only available skill to use while under "Pacification" is the stun. skill. I'll have to double check that though.

yeah brutal swing is the stun skill.

in all honesty since WAR is an AoE threat machine the extra 2 flashes won't be all that valuable to you.

however if you are lower geared and party up with higher end players those 2 flashes will keep them off your a*s as far as aggro is concerned
