PS3 to PS4 still confused all together

To cut the point I'm still confused on what needs to be done to transfer the lot.

I read the news front page about what needs doing and the step by step guide. Sounds plain and simole. The problem comes when I keep reading in (gbomb reds etc) forums that you need to do the transfer thru Mog station??? Can someone be a dear and clarify this?

I thought it was a question of power on your ps3 get into the launcher screen , press the ps3 -> ps4 option at the bottom then follow steps then switch ps4 and click same thing and tadah! Cheers

You need to log in to the Mogstation and select the PS4 upgrade option. You can log into the account management page here - https://secure.square-enix.com/accou...n?cont=account then click on mogstation. There is now a big button that says PS4 upgrade

The launcher transfer is just for macros. That way you don't have to redo 30 loadout/armor sets. The rights to play on PS4 has to be done through the Mog Station.

Awesome so if I first press the ps4 upgrade on Mogs Will I still be able to transfer my macros and sorts to ps4? Or will it be lost after I press ps4 upgrade. Thank you very much!

I would suggest transferring your macros through the PS3 launcher first, then go to Mogstation and select the upgrade.

Upon redeeming my code I got an error. Now I am going to assume that this is because I already have downloaded and used my PS4 copy of FF14. I am currently downloading the new version and I hope to be able to log in.

I've bought the PS3 collectors edition digital code at 50% discount (even though i don't own a ps3) hoping to upgrade to the ps4 version free of charge. Now I can't upgrade to the ps4 version because I supposedly need to have the ps3 version registered. Does anyone know how to register the ps3 version without having a ps3? Thank you!

Most likely buy a ps3 register then sell the ps3 or use a friend's. Other then that I really don't think you can in mog station or anything. They did this on purpose to prevent people from getting into early access cheap or trying to cheat the system. Basically buying it for ps3 means you need a ps3 sorry.
