The problem is that the game should prompt you each time there is a drop. It should ask if you would like the item to go onto your inventory. Once you click ok, it should then ask "Are you sure?" At which point you can click ok again. That way you wont fill up your inventory with junk drops.

that sounds like a terrible idea. not just terrible but annoying... "would you like me to put this in your inventory?" "yes" "are you sure?" "yes." no thank you.

If this happened with every single drop, it would get really annoying really fast. But maybe if your inventory was full, then it prompted you - "Your inventory is full, would you like to make room for [item]?" then it would take you to your inventory screen and you could click on that stupid animal hide that you didn't know you were carrying around, drop it, and claim your Atma. Then go back to a summoning bell and clean up your inventory.

It is kinda silly how they expect you to always have room for, you know.. 12 atma. Most of us who craft/gather dont have that kind of room. The only upside to it going to your inventory is so that you can get more than 1 type of atma. But again, thats @ the cost of more room

what if you have full key items? the regular inventory is much larger and you cant get rid of key items unless you complete or abandon the related quest , the solution you propose is worse than what is currently there , you can even store earned atmas in retainer or sell/discard some stuff, cant be that hard , i got all 12 atmas and simple inventory management prevented me from losing a single one

This actually the first good argument I heard towards why Atma aren't key items. I haven't noticed how many key item spaces there are, but 12 atma could easily fill all of that up which would be a problem for other quests.

I too, am someone who suffers from poor inventory management. I always have and always will be through every RPG I have ever played. I realized just yesterday how much inventory space the retainers had and it blew my mind.

well actually i just checked and it says 1/100 so its not really a good argument , but the window shows only 25 slots so that was kinda misleading me

If you're having inventory problems, I feel bad for you son,
I got 99 problems but my drops ain't one.
    Hit meh!

But yeah, I'm always scrambling to find room, but that's because I filled one retainer with crafting mats I will probably never use. Thankfully, last DoW/M will hit 50 and I can start clearing all the unsexy gear from one retainer for SB or sale. Inventory Management.... Human Resources.... Financial Accounting.... Business Intelligence.... I never realized SE's conspiracy is about making us manage all this stuff. Should probably throw this onto a resume somewhere.

Those corrupt bastards! They are probably using the money they make off retainers to fund terrorism! It's all a lie!
