    i70 Fishing Accesories

I've seen a few people who have gotten i70 accessories and turned them into fishing accessories, due to superior gathering and perception caps. However, almost all of the people I've seen do this use leather accessories for the most part.

Are Gryphonskin accessories superior to Rosegold ones, or are they the same? I know a lot more good goldsmiths then I do leather workers, and I'd prefer to have them make me i70 accessories.

    Thanks.

I'm almost sure I tried out with mage accessories before and they only took 4 gathering/perception, could be mistaken idk. The rose gold accessories should take 5 of each cause they're the exact same caps as gryphonskin (the mage ones take 1 less vit and that may be related to them only taking 4 gathering/perception, if I'm even remembering it right that they did).

The question is, will Rosegold accessories work in place of the Gryphonskin, such as the Rosegold Gorget?

Everyone I've seen who's done this has done it primarily with Gryphonskin, like you. I don't see why there wold be a difference, but I don't want to get the mats for this, start dropping materia, and find out I screwed myself over.

yes, my first sentence "i70's take 5/5"

get rose gold/astral rings/gorget if you want, either or

none of the stats on them matter at all. the only thing that matters is being able to meld 5/5

I'm just wondering about a couple of things.
Is there a difference between the amount of materia you can put on NQ items as opposed to HQ? I am under the impression there isn't and if you aren't worried about the actual stats of the item is there any point in getting HQ? Also, before the patch I tried to do some stats on results when using food. It seemed like there were certain changes to the fish I was getting, but I had no way to control how the extra stats would change the fish caught. For example, if I am trying to get more HQ fish to mooch and I take perception food I might get more HQ fish, but not of the fish I need to mooch. Then after the patch, I could have my gathering as high as food could get me and still miss out on Silver Sovereigns at times. So, once you hit the necessary gathering requirement for the fish, do stats really help enough to be worth the expense of crafting such gear?
