If no one access a FC house in 35 Days you lose everything! Coming Patch 2.3 ><

This needs attention. Because I feel like its not fair to players who put time and Gil into buying a house. Now before people get crazy I'm sure this won't effect large Free Companies, It may not effect very many at all but there is a chance it could. Most likely it will only effect a small minority of small FCs. Another thing to consider Will this happen to Personal Housing as well? The reason behind this is to free up server space instead of SE adding new wards.

We do in fact have plans to add more land in the future, but I cannot promise a specific time frame at the moment.

Also, currently as of patch 2.2, houses will remain intact regardless of whether a free company is active or inactive. However, in the future, in addition to adding land, after patch 2.3 we’ll also be looking into adding a feature so when free company members haven't accessed their house for 35 days (Earth time), their house and land will be automatically forfeit in order to free up the land. We'll also be looking into a system that will display the remaining time until this happens.

A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

They wont have anything like that really now! So why now are they adding some old MMO system to the game?

That is a little extreme isn't it? I can't speak for everyone who owns a house, But since I own a small house that is ridiculous. I mean I can see why, But to just say that after 35 days you lose your house is just wrong. People worked hard to make the Gil to get a house and purchase/make furnishings. I really think this needs to be looked at again, 60-90 days sounds reasonable. I have a small FC and when I mean small I mean two people ( I had 7 but 5 of them quit after 2.1). If I decide to take a break for two or three months I will lose my house, I don't know how many small FCs there are and how many players they have so it might not be such a big deal.

But maybe there could be a way to convert the house into some type of deed/permit? 35 days the house Is converted to a deed for the same type of land Small/Medium/Large and when the FC leader returns it will be in their mail.

35 days is not a lot of time. I think 60-90* days would be better. Or convert the loss to Land Deed and a Building Permit. So at 35 days of inactivity in a Free Company house the Land is forfeit and then converted to a Land Deed and a Building Permit for the same size. I would say a refund in Gil but many FCs bought houses at the max and some at the lowest, so there would be an issue. Do you get what you paid or do you get lower? Then some would get upset if they didn't get a full refund of what they paid. And then if it was the case of a full refund of what we paid, People could abuse it. An FC who bought a large house for 89mil gets it all back and then only has to pay 59mil to buy another.... So I think extending the time or a Deed/Permit to the FC leader would be the best.
