PS3 > PS4 transfer and CE items

I have the regular PS3 edition of the game and I've pre-ordered the PS4 physical CE, but it takes some weeks to arrive here. In the meantime I wanted to get the free transfer of my PS3 version to a PS4 version and start playing it.

So, Once my PS4 CE arrive, can I still activate my Collector's Edition code and get my in-game items?

Yes, the collector's items are just a code like any other, though will probably have to be entered on the Mog Station.

Actually, if they're like other versions of the game, they're linked to the game code itself.

This would come in as a similar problem back at original launch. People that had the V1.0 Standard PC version wanted to be able to register the CE version and get the in-game items. But since they were already registered as a Windows version user, it could not be done.

I suspect the same thing will happen here. If you convert to PS4, you will be registered for PS4, and you will NOT be able to register the CE version to the same service account because you are already registered for PS4.

If you want the CE items in-game, you will need to wait for your CE (and the full registration code that comes with it) to be delivered.

This will have the added bonus of being able to still play on PS3 if you should want to... tho most people think that would be a bit dumb.
