gamestop early access

i went to gamestop monday to pre-order 3 games including ffxiv, but i didnt get a code for early access which i just found out about last night. is gamestop giving out early access codes or not? im sure if it because i pre-ordered 3 games at the same time or if its because the girl at the counter was dimwitted.

i did. in fact i search through it so much that i memorized all the contents of the receipt.

I don't know how accurate this is, but from reading other posts, it seems Gamestop isn't handing out EA codes. I would honestly go back and ask for your money back. Gamestop drops the ball more often than not. If it isn't Madden, CoD, or GTA, they could care less. I don't shop at all there anymore.

EB Games here in Canada certainly does give EA codes, it's listed on their website, but I couldn't check Gamestop from here (work).

yeah, gamestop is not doing the early access. i returned my preorder and ordered mine through the best buy website.

yup just called and confirmed, they dont do EA. only reason i went there was because it right next to my house and best buy is far. fuck.

Why are they listed as a preorder retailer then if they are not giving out early access? This was done by SE right? I'm not going to deal with goin back to the store and will wait til 14th but it is VERY misleading. At the least they could state that Gam estop DOES NOT DO PREORDER EARLY ACCESS CODES. That took me all of 10 seconds.

I just did the same thing Heavy except I drove 42 miles to gamestop. Why do I feel so limited in my purchase options with CASH anymore. It's like I'm punished for keeping my personal info and credit cards away from online sites as much as possible, and I KNOW this would be so much easier doing digital purchase but what limited amount of "privacy" I have anymore I hang onto dearly.
