Hi all,

Just to make other players aware of an issue I have noted with FFXIV and other programs.

I recently installed some new games on Steam and found I was BSOD'ing soon after they launched with "atkdisplowfilter.sys" blamed as the culprit. I had also noticed increased stutter/lag and crash to desktop when playing FFXIV with "display driver stopped working" messages appearing.

When I researched "atkdisplowfilter.sys", I discovered that a number of other people had been having similar issues where games were having poor FPS (where they once had good FPS), BSOD's, and crashes to desktop.

The common theme here was the ASUS OSD Gamer software which comes with a lot of ASUS motherboards.

Having completely uninstalled this, everything is now running absolutely fine (and those other games now run perfectly too), and so far FFXIV has been completely stable for 1 day and counting.....

So if any of you with random GPU crashes/stuttering issues who have some trouble with some other games have ASUS mobo's or GPU's, try uninstalling the OSD Gamer software to see if that helps.
