Sounds like you just need to manage crafting materials a little more to know what you will/won't need in the future. Sure you can keep everything because you might use it, but if it is easily farmable or sells for only 10 gil a piece, then there is no point hanging on to it and using up space if you only MIGHT use it in 2 months once. I never have issue with space and I craft a lot.
