Just did this one today. The fate is a triggered one, you have to talk to an NPC that spawns in the fates area or you will never see it pop.

Does the NPC spawn at 10x28 Boulder Downs in Coerthas Central Highlands? Been sitting here for over an hour now waiting, hoping that my source was not wrong.

Currently I am waiting for the FATE "A taste of fear" to spawn and have been waiting for the past 2 hours. Such a huge waste of time! I mean I love this game and all but certain parts of it I truly hate. Do the devs really think it's reasonable for players to have to camp a spot for 2+ hours just to wait for one specific FATE to spawn? Not how I want to spend my time playing a video game..

No, in fact they do not expect you to stand around doing nothing for hours at a time, they added it this way to deter people from having all of them completed right away like they did the original two portions of the relic quest, and as time progresses they will make it more casual friendly for people who don't have hours upon hours to camp fates in a single zone I am sure, just like all other content it will be nerfed as more portions of it are presented.

As for that, I don't remember the exact POS of it, but near the giant crater where gigas roam there is a small tree next to the river, and the npc spawns at that tree. If you are close enough it will appear on your compass, but not on the map unless someone else triggers the actual fate.

Confirmed. I'm sure you've already found it right now, but for anyone else out there looking for it, the NPCs (House Guards of House Haillenarte or some such thing) will spawn at 10,28 in Coerthas for the FATE Tower of Power. Hope it helps.

Not long till v2.3 now when they adjust fates so it's never long in theory before specific ones re-appear. 3 more days and the patch is out.

Well I was waiting for 8 hours last night for this FATE to spawn and it didn't, I saw "Giant Seps" Spawn 5 times before I gave up. If I don't get it soon I'm just going to have to give up on the Animus books altogether. Please fix this Square 8+ hours for nothing is unacceptable.
