    Player search feature.

    Hello.
I've been wondering if you can search people through the player search feature in XIV if they're in a dungeon.

Does it show me they're in a certain dungeon if they're in one ? or not ? (Another World thingie)

Plus if they weren't in a dungeon and the searched character is out there (In a party or not) does it get some kind of notification that it have been searched or some kind of a pop up to their screen (Or Chat log?)?

    Thanks!

Search does at least show people who are in an instance, indeed with that red symbol beside their names which says 'Another World' if you highlight it, and the dungeon/location's name is listed as well (hence leading to some headscratching about exactly where the 'Second Aetheroacoutstic Research Site' is located for instance ).

It should be noted though, that if that person is disconnected from the game due to network/technical issues while they're still inside the instance/dungeon/raid, it glitches the search function and will not show that person as offline, but still as logged into that instance - it only resets when they next log in.

And no, searching for someone via the search function doesn't inform that person that someone has searched for them - for that matter you don't even get that annoying notice that FFXI had when someone examines your gear anymore, a good thing I guess.
