    Silence of Selene

    I've noticed, if I have Selene on Sic, it seems like she tries to silence mob's casts...

    Can anyone confirm if this is the case or not? It didn't seem like she was spamming it on CD, though I could be wrong...
    If she is actually trying to silence mob abilities, can anyone comment on how successful the AI is at that?

    She will try to silence anything with a cast bar, regardless of whether or not the ability can actually BE silenced.

    At least this was the case pre-2.2, and I have not let her on Sic for anything Silence-intensive since.

    I had her on Sic for the first phase of GKMM XII HM and she did use her silence on the BLM once the cast started.

    Using her for beastribe dailies she tries to silence anything with a cast bar, mostly unsuccessful.

    It's a tricky skill to use due to the fact that when I need something silenced selene will be in the middle of casting an embrace. It's a nice silencing alternative but I consider it more of a last resort more than anything else. And I don't know why you'd use eos over selene most of the time...why have a 20% healing buff or aoe regen on your party (which usually isn't even necessary) when you could instead have hasty dps. Of course Eos abilities are quite powerful but only under certain circumstances.

    This is what I use to silence for Selene. Only thing is it'll break her 'place', the heel is there so it interrupts her embrace and forces her to silence instead. I generally focus target what I want silenced.
