I'll agree with you though that there is a lot of different things to do now, hopefully they will continue to build upon it so in future there will be tons of side stuff. (Gold Saucer can I have it)

Nobody forcing you to get an atma weapon, you could always just get a levi i100 weap untill you get the i115 drop in t9

I got an Atma, I still think the whole process was crap though and wasn't fun at all, anyways lets not make this about Atma.

You are, of course, assuming that the people who are doing this quest despite the horrible RNG have the opportunity to kill Levi Ex or T5. A lot of the more casual players that I have talked to are still stuck on Titan Ex and do not have a good enough group to T5. Which defaults the atma as their only option.
