okay. this is complete bull. and since it is IMPOSSIBLE to get the proper support from the SE Support Center... this is the last place i can turn to. i seriously hope this can be resolved. i am fed up.



ever since i started playing FFXIV:ARR my account has been locked 4 times now.

this is the message i get...

"Based upon recent suspicious activity, we have identified that your account may potentially be at risk. For your protection, we have temporarily suspended login access to this account.
Instructions for lifting this restriction have been sent to the email address registered to your Square Enix Account.

it was just locked like 2 or 3 days ago. and i had to change my password to unlock it. and was just locked again today. 100% absurd.





the most recent response i got regarding the issue...

Regarding your request for account support. Please find your answer below.

It appears the issue you reported has been resolved through one of our live support channels. If you are still experiencing problems, please do not hesitate to reply to this ticket and we will gladly assist you further.

i never once contacted live support regarding this issue. :$ :$



anyhow... back on to point. so basically my account has been locked multiple times without any reason what so ever. and these most recent times nearly back-to-back.




Square Enix i demand an explanation! i am seriously getting fed up with this. i have already considered quiting. but i love the game too much to give up so quickly.

but seriously... this is getting to be out of hand. i don't know where you think you have the right to do this. but it needs to stop.


you need to explain to me what is wrong with my account. nothing 'suspicious' is going on. and if it is... you NEED to tell me. i don't know what it is. so it's obviously being done unconsciously.






Square Enix, there is absolutely no excuse for this type of behavior.

If you are logging in from a different IP address that will lock your account its a security thing.Way to stop that is buy a security Token or use the app you can get free i think for ur phone. Other then that sum1 could be tring to hack ur account.My wifes account use to get locked alot cuz she logged in from a different ip address bought that Token it doesn't happen anymore

i don't use different IPA's though :/ the only possible action someone could be using to try to hack my account would be to just sit there and randomly try to guess the password. but i would imagine eventually you would get a complete lockout for a certain period of time like that. even resetting the password shouldn't get you past that type of lockout. so this login restriction thing seems to be something else.


either way... i am annoyed with changing my password so many times. i don't want to be inconvenienced by that OTP or Security Token either. it's a hassle using it.




i was able to handle it happening once every 2 or 3 months. but most recently it has happened twice in the past week. it just needs to stop. ><
