the books you can see progress as you do them, so what if they are harder, they should be the real time crunch not the bloody atma weapons...

It would also mean that people can do the books at their own pace knowing each run puts em a step closer. Less fuss I think.

Exactly, Luck in things like Quick Ventures is great, Luck in something like atmas leads to /headdesk frustration, As mentioned if SE had said do 500 Fates per zone, ppl would grumble but do it knowing where they stand, being able to take a break when they want

so far i personally am at 3 atmas just got my 3rd bout 5 mins ago i so far i am noticing a bit of a pattern with them my first one was central shroud took 8 hrs to get it to drop and god knows how many fates in that time second was south thanalan took bout 4-5 hrs to drop and last was uper la noscea took maybe 10-15 fates and droped

kinda comming to the conclusion that the more remote the region less luck plays its part as kinda seems the dice roll is higher in starter areas then it is in say outskirt areas just my observation so far still early to draw any resonable conclusion but seems more they want the high levels to farm longer in starter zones then others

Not sure about that one. My first Atma was in the North Shroud in an area made for people around level 30.

how long did it take you to get that one i can only speek from my experience as seems like the lower level areas seem to have a lower drop rate then higher level areas and the more focused the area is far as story content and all goes seems like its longer grinds kinda does make since as it is a way to keep the more focused areas alot more popultated

I think it took me around 30 minutes to one hour. I gotten the Central Shroud Atma around 10 hours after that, then the East Shroud Atma 1 hour after that. Central Thanalan took me a good 2-3 hours, then Western Thanalan took me just 2 FATE attempts to get its Atma.

There's really no method or reason behind everything I tried. It's really all RNG.
