So why is brayflox "hard" actually easier than normal?

It's not like either of them require any kind of skill as it is but. While leveling, I've had people totally have major issues with brayflox normal. Either they couldn't figure out they had to pop the bubbles on Hellbender; Someone pulls some trash they didn't mean to... Tank has issues with adds on first boss... Tank tanks last boss in a pile of goop... I could go on and on really.... None of it was difficult, but pugs in duty finder have issues with it...

So here we have the "hard" mode... What is harder about it? It's ilvl55, which means, you're almost always going to have people that are nearly double the ilvl doing it for starters. There are no mechanics whatsoever on any boss to mess up. Yes some bosses have adds, but most tanks don't bother tanking them, and they really don't have to. If you say the bombs at the very end, that is a laughable mechanic really... It is easily solved by some flailing around. Not any big mystery there. Even if both dps and tank don't know what to do there, even the healer could blow them all away solo. I have yet to have anyone "fail" at "hard" mode, even the very first day, before anyone knew anything about it, with total strangers it was cleared multiple times with no wipes.

It's a ok instance though. I just disagree with it being called "hard" mode. They should call it brayflox "the return" or something.

As you say, double the ilvl.

In the normal, whatever gear you get, you get capped down. In "hard" mode, your gear can increase and increase and the instance won't hold you down at all.

I just really think, if they want to call it "hard" mode, they should have made it more like the original Pharos or something.

There are no mechanics whatsoever to avoid or figure out. Everything is tank and spank pretty much... nothing special. The healers don't even have to ensuna/leeches stuff, no adds to pick up, nothing that can one shot you etc.

The original had more to figure out, even though there were obvious messages like "Aiatar is using the pools to recover hp!"

I did it with a bunch of i60ish people.... still say normal was harder HM nowhere near as punishing for mechanics (screw that dragon at the end of normal)

there was no reason to move at

random gobby shots do 900 not really a problem to heal through no reason to lose dps
bombs during first boss deal a decent amount of damage but a player can survive 2 even at i60 and since 3 bombs never overlap no reason to move
first boss adds.... everyone behind the tank easily ignored
gliders: moderately annoying because of random attacking otherwise meh rest of the trash is a joke
2nd boss adds easily kited by your healer have them run bombs into ceruleum to keep the floor clean rest of the party just stays on boss no need to do anything else
last boss... I think we can all admit this is a joke since you can completely skip the last bomb phase by using an LB on the boss just before it pops adds.

    Because of your overpowered gear.

...No, there's far less trash mobs in general...bosses are VERY close to each other, (some trash you can even skip) and full of DL gear in almost every chest lol. It's an extremely easy "hard mode", it's what you'd call "normal mode" and Brayflox Story is "easy mode".

The hardest part of the dungeon are the gliders.

I look forward to EX versions of Bray and Hal! I love both those places but the mechanics are damn easy to master.

If you can deal with chaotic ( Yes I am looking at you first boss w/ your orange lines EVERYWHERE!) then yes it's so called "easy" well at least to me even though I get threw it without any deaths, the fact that the dungeon keeps me on my toes I consider that hard, if I were to slack off and not concentrate I would die.
