PS3 users get upgrade on PS4 on the 11th?

Yes, you can transfer your account to the PS4 on the 11th. In doing so you will no longer be able to play on the PS3.

I went ahead and bought the collectors edition. So I will still be able to play on the PS3 whenever I want to feel old school. lol

I would think so.
Though apparently someone contacted a SE CS representative, and they stated PS3-PS4 transfers can be started on the 11th, but you won't be able to play until EA ends and would be locked out of your account in general until the 14th, as you wouldn't be able to go back to the PS3.
They also said to pre-order the PS4 version so you can get a EA code, even though you'd already be getting the PS4 release.

Sounds highly suspicious to me.
I've met a lot of CS reps that have faulty information, plus the fact transferring isn't really EA as we're already paying for our accounts, and it makes no sense to lock people out of logging on for 3 days if they transfer this Friday.
Plus you would think if that was the case they would mention on the PS4 Upgrade Campaign page "PS3 players upgrading on the 11th-13th will not be able to access their accounts on PS4 until April 14th"
