I have Hermes Shoes and not Garlond Goggles. So I don't think that's how it worked.
Chocobo gear. Tattoos on the back. Legacy barding.
Yea.. We are all the same c:

So.. I just recently started actively posting in forums.....

You, Sir, are having no more birthdays, no Christmases, no New Years, etc.
Just Hermes Sandals.
Garlond Goggles was the XIII code I believe.
Who's Line....one of the greatest shows from my youth...
Did a little digging; Hermes Sandals was for linking accounts while the Garlond Goggles were a pre-order bonus. I now remember receiving the code from the store manager at the gamestop I used to work at since she had some leftover when I walked in to buy the game a year later.

But it wasn't this way during 1.0
christmas event 2010 - santa suit
christmas event 2011 - rendeer suit, but no santa suit (use the left-over mats from 2010 to craft one)
new year event 2011 - usagi kabuto
new year event 2012 - dragon kabuto, but no usagi kabuto (use the left-over mats from 2011 to craft one)
easter event 2011 - egg caps
easter event 2012 - egg rings, but no egg caps
summer event 2011 - swimsuits
summer event 2012 - Yukatas, but no swimsuits
So it is confusing for us 1.0 players that old seasonal gears show up again.
Garlond Googles was the standard box bonus
The XIII code bonus was the Asuran Armguards

I'm a special snowflake. People ask me daily how to get legacy chocobo and I'm like nope, special snowflake.
Onion Helm, and not sure..(other Onion accessories like body head, pants and legs), still Unique.
Asuran Armguards.
Carpet Goobbue
Legacy Chocobo?
Hermes boots (unlimited sprint!)
Goodbye, Final Fantasy...
