Atma Weapon: Do not rush!

Hello,

maybe a silly thread but just to tell people who feel pressured to get the weapon ASAP because some people already have it: Do not rush!

This is not a competition. people who have the fully upgraded weapons have spent their whole time on it and this weapon quest is clearly designed to be a side-quest, not something you should devote your entire time.

So just do not get frustrated. If still trying to get atma, try to do fates when waiting for duty finder, if you do it intensively, takes some breaks.

in the end, you are fighting for some pixels in a video-game.
Your life do not depend on it and if you want that weapon you will get it eventually.

I completely agree with you. If you are obsessively farming, I would look into the above. It's unhealthy.

Lol go tell people on the Monster Hunter forums "don't feel pressure to get a wyvern stone drop (2%)" And you'd get ripped to shreds.

If people want it they want it. At the same time I have to say i don't fully understand the amount of complaints. I mean if the drop rate was higher the same guys would be here complaining about not having stuff to do. You just can't please everyone.

Also it WILL get adjusted when they want people to move on tho higher ilvl content. Anyway It's not like there's not options on stuff to do at this point...

Weapon wise, not so much. Comparable weapons are T5, levi ex, and the upgrade. If you don't have a static or a good group, clearing T5 is almost impossible. To do Levi Ex one needs to have done all of the other extreme fights. If a player has not, for whatever reason, then that option is defaulted. This only leaves the upgrade as a viable option for people.

Prior to the patch, one could do the entire relic quest in under 8hrs. With the upgrade quest, a player could spend that 8hrs trying to get 1 atma and still not get it. And that's 1/12 of part one of the entire upgrade quest.

This right here. I was trying to get all my Coil drops before Echo kicked in and all the content gets zerg'd for numerous reasons but nooope. Missing one thing from 2, haven't even been able to get into 4 except once and the group was completely new to it and I don't want to imagine what 5 is going to be like (I'm just a DPS; pulling numbers will only get you so far).

Like someone else said, the problem is that it is not something with an abysmal drop rate (well, its a large part of the hate at least), but it is possibly one of the most boring things I've experienced in a game. You take your character skills, rotations, class knowledge, and then have it locked out for an indefinite amount of time while you do this. You can stand in AOEs, there's no threat of danger, just mindless zerging. No one wants to do this, so naturally they want to rush.

I use it as filler while waiting on Coil parties to fill up, but I still hate it immensely.

Yea its silly to suggest not to rush, I haven't been rushing by any accounts but I still want it and I still want this Fate grinding to be over.

8/12 so far should be done by next week, but I am still sick of it.

I don't think that is necessarily the idea that players are rushing to get this done because of the pressure to get it done sooner than later. I think it is a matter of the amount of people zerging the fates now vs. the amount of people that will be doing them weeks or even months down the line. A lot of the people that I have talked to while trying to gather atmas are of this mindset. They know that, while the drop rate may change, it will likely not be for some time.

Wouldn't be so bad if we could get the atma on any job so then we could at least get exp on something for those that don't have everything at 50, even though I hate fates....

How I wish I don't need to get 60 Atmas for all of my character. But nope, not gonna do it. I already had enough, and I'm fine with experiencing the content already.
