It means the files on your computer were corrupt first of all.A little background: shortly before the maintenance began last night, I was kicked off with the typical 90k server error. After booting up the launcher several hours later and confirming the download, I was asked to accept the EULA again. Thinking maybe this had something to do with recent changes regarding the new soundtrack and all that business, I accepted and was then asked to register the game again.
Concerned now, I closed out the client and opened it again, and it behaved normally while I downloaded the update. After logging in, I was made to choose my data center, watch the opening movie and logged in with my character to find all of my interface and personal settings restored to default. Additionally, after I tried to restore the settings through the backup feature I was told the relevant file was corrupt.
Anyone else having issues during update?
