Proposed Upgrade: Search Function for Crafting Lists

Just wanted to toss this idea out there, I am level 50 in all DoH and 2/3 for DoL. Not a day goes by where someone in my FC asks "hey can you make me (item)?" or "can you make (housing item)?" then I spend the next 3 hours looking up and down every list trying to find said item (usually overlooking it a few times).

I would really like to see some type of simple search function added to the crafting menu, nothing insane or gamebreaking, even a simple search box would suffice.

Any ideas how we could get something like this actually added to the game? or expanding on the idea? I'm sure I'm not the only one that goes through this constant irritation.

I'd much prefer an interface solution implemented in-game. Usability is your friend. The more recipes they add, the more painful searching will become (long scrolling vertical lists are not your friend).

Something similar to the Market Board, or the option to sort recipes by categories (as opposed to levels), would be great.

This should be implemented asap.

Even when doing simple crafting quests, it would be much faster to just search for the item you want to craft instead of scrolling lists every time.

Also, how about making crafting materials state which class crafts it? I swear this might sound stupid but sometimes I don't even know it's my current class that crafts it.

I use xivdb myself just to find all the oddball items people ask for... mainly furniture that's all over the place... in game is utterly useless

Even the other interfaces are a bit of a chore to use (equipping retainers comes to mind). Every menu seems to have a different layout. It would be nice if it was all a bit more unified.
