Heyy everyone!

I've always played healer and I wanted to give myself a chance to try something new. I want to try out a DPS caster job but I can't choose between BLM and SMN. I've done SCH before so I have an idea of how SMN might work but I've only ever played THM to 26 for swiftcast then stopped to get back to healing.

Basically the only thing keeping me from choosing one job over the other is the fact that I've always loved SMNs most in all FFs but I've also always loved massive shiny looking AoEs (which summons did in most other FFs). I know SMN has enkindle which can be shiny looking but the 5min cooldown and the fact that I've heard the dmg of it is mediocreish makes me feel like I should try BLM because they have more shiny AoE spells that can be used regularly. The only thing is, like I've said I've always loved SMNs in all FFs which makes me feel like I have an obligation to choose it but I don't want to just choose a job based on obligation.
